The Agriturismo Vessus, with its superb pool and its extensive olive grove, is located about 2 km. away from Alghero, on the west coast of the island.

The Agriturismo Vessus is a nice and relaxed farmhouse immersed in a 14 hectares olive grove and surrounded by tall stone walls, located right before the town of Alghero.

The main building of the farm house, painted with a nice pastel yellow, is right next to the pool. The reception is on the right, and from there it is possible to get to the reading room, decorated with antique furniture, sofas and wicker baskets. The good weather is a great excuse to relax on the terrace: it overlooks the courtyard with its majestic pine tree, the garden and the orchard.

The bar is located at the left of the entrance, just opposite of the breakfast room. The buffet breakfast is nicely arranged on impressive wooden tables. When the weather allows it, it is also possible to have breakfast outside, on the terrace. The eating room, in the same style, is on the left, just past the bar.

The 11 rooms are not numbered. Each one of them is instead marked with a different fruit. All rooms are furnished with wrought-iron beds and hardwood furniture, and the decorations are in typical Sardinian style. The Strawberry room is particularly worth a note: its beautiful pool and garden view and the internal staircase leading to the panoramic terrace make it the perfect accommodation for a romantic holiday.

The square pool has sun beds and umbrellas for all the guests. Experienced hands tend to the scented garden and the green lawn: dark red hibiscus bushes, dwarf palms and terracotta vases follow one another all the way until the orchard.

The coastal small town of Alghero, with its narrow lanes, old city centre, shops and convenient sea vicinity, is a delightful holiday destination all year round. The town lies on a small promontory, and it is surrounded by water on three sides. Sardinian and Catalan cultural elements kindly mix together contributing to the unique atmosphere of the town.
The older part of town has been restored during the years, and is now a pedestrian area. Don't miss a visit to the 'Torre dell' Esperò Real' (tower of the royal spur), the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the Via Principe Umberto, with its 16th century historical residence 'Casa Doria'.
Alghero's cuisine is excellent and very varied: fresh lobster, sword fish and fresh tuna are always offered in good restaurants as lunch specials, but can also be bought at the characteristic fish market.
The town is also an excellent place to shop for Sardinian deep red coral, which gave its name to the coastline of Alghero ('Riviera del Corallo').

The 11 rooms are divided between two buildings. All rooms have air conditioned, heater, SAT TV, phone, Wi-Fi Internet, and their own bathroom with shower.
