The hotel Torre Ruja (literally:" Red tower ") was opened only in 2001 and owes its name to a Saracen tower built here in the 16th century.

The familiarity of the owners with the island and the sensitive integration of the hotel within the surrounding nature are reflected by the flat hotel structure and also by the names of the different room areas taken from the endemic plant names.

From the car park you come to the reception via a small paved path. Here is the restaurant " Tramonto Rosso " (" Red sunset ") with a wonderful panoramic view on the surrounding areas, swimming pool and the sea. The second hotel restaurant "Sotto le stelle " ("Under the stars") can be found on the terrace of the reception hall. Here is all about romanticism, where under the night sky, you'll be spoilt with exquisite sea specialties. (A table reservation is requested)

Behind the reception the beautiful rooms in Mediterranean style are accommodated in more than two levels.
The natural materials used for the furniture underline the relaxing holiday atmosphere.
In the rear of the hotel the Wellness-Center "Venere" (Thalasso and Spa) reminds of Roman Thermal spa thanks to the numerous pillars, mosaic walls and round arches.

This hotel was created with a thought of a beach vacation for two. Here one leaves the stress and the tiredness of everyday life quickly and recovers peculiarly on the edge of a small fishing little village.

Who makes a vacation in the area of Badesi have the privilege of a number of different sandy beaches which are not overcrowded even in the high season, but also of numerous archaeological and naturalistic sites. One can experience fantastic, varied sunny days around the red porphyry cliffs of the Isola Rossa or on the 14 km long sandy beach of Badesi.
The petrified forest of Martis, on the other hand, is something for nature lovers. The intrepid ones can dare a boat trip around the coast or a hike on the steep, medieval lanes of the town of Castelsardo. Furthermore an excursion is recommended inland towards Tempio Pausania (with the spring of 'Fonte di Rinaggiu', as well as the historical center characterized by the granite facades) Calangianus and Luras. The windy road that connects Aggius to Tempio and to the bizarre mountain world (called 'Valle della Luna' - moon valley), are great fun for bikers and amateur photographers. The mountain " Monte Limbara " is also highly recommended, whose top can be reached through a picturesque street with cork oaks and chestnut forests. There's a wonderfull panoramic view from here of part of the 'Gallura' region and even the sea.

Close to Isola Rossa in the north of Sardinia, only 50 mt of a red cliff beach and approximately 250 ms away from a very beautiful sandy beach.
