New and really comfortable apartment resort, near the sea and interesting sites.

This apartment resort was opened only in 2004 and lies on the edge of the small, but inhabited all year round, town of Arbatax. This resort, thanks to its beautiful, unusually, in different colors whitewashed exterior facades, has an immediate eye-catcher.

Walking from one of the resort car parks you come first to a modern entry hall. The reception counter was accommodated on the left, with a snack bar and numerous seats close-by. Here a wide glass facade draws the attention magically into the adjacent and artistically designed pool. That distinguishes itself by a pretty picturesque bridge and the covered terrace with reeds that extends strategically the bar area outside.

Around the pool you can see at the same moment also the red, blue, golden and burgundy colored exterior walls of the different apartments. They can be reached comfortably from the pool with garden paths decorated with Mediterranean plants, and are either in the ground floor or on the first floor.

All apartments have light yellow inside walls, and are fitted with yellowish-beige wood pieces of furniture, Sardinian carpets and fabrics, as well as dark red Terracotta tiles. Beautiful paintings with country-typical motives surround the interior, designed with a lot of love for details, that gives a pleasant feeling to the guests.

The apartments are always similarly furnished, air-conditioned and subdivided into 2 or 3-room apartments, which are called accordingly 'Bilo' or 'Trilo'. Beside a summery colored living/dining room with open kitchen unit and studio couch, the 2-room apartments have only a bedroom with double bed, and a bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and washing basin. The similar but bigger in size building of the 3-room apartments, in addition, have a second bedroom with two single beds.

Furthermore, each of these apartments disposes of its own outside area, that was planned, depending on the position of the house, in the ground floor or in the first floor and either before the front door or the living/dining area.

This apartment resort is for all those who would like to live, no matter what season, cosily and comfortably. And love varied holidays with an always complete freedom of movement.

The bigger neighboring city of Tortolì is a lively holiday resort in the east coast with small shops, bars, restaurants, banks and a charter flight airport. It represent a good starting point to undertake the all year round different trips around this region. Hence it's a place not only for beach lovers but also for hikers, as well as nature and archaeology lovers.
The 500 souls municipality of Arbatax belongs to Tortolì and it's one of the most famous places of the Ogliastra coast, being a commercial port but also an important tourist harbour even if it lacks of infrastructures. It can still count some factories, like a paper factory, close to the harbour. What remains today is some manufacturing work for offshore construction companies, shipped primely to Libya.
Arbatax offers as tourist sights one of the landmarks of Sardinia, the red rocks (impressive Prophyr cliffs) as well as a Spanish tower which gave its exotic sounding name to the town: from the arab " Arba at Ashar " the fourteenth tower.

This part of Sardinia is still not a developed holiday resort, and guests should come with a little of discovery spirit, that will make this a special vacation.
Only a little bit farther from here is the sandy bay of Orrì, or the bay of Cala Goloritze. Once here you also need to do a boat trip to the fantastic bay Cala Luna (which can be achieved either by foot or boat) or also a visit of the highest caves of Europe, the 'Grotte Su Marmuri' close to Ulassai, and try not to miss the numerous 'Domus de Janas' (antique burial places) and Nuraghes.
Active travellers should always plan their routes, however, remembering that the winding roads make driving times longer.

In the border of the town of Arbatax, about 600 mt away from the nearest beach.
