In the midst of an impressive Mountain World, about 550 mt above sea level this farm has approximately 300 hectares of land, it features a typical atmosphere and local dishes. Shortly after the idyllic mountain village Aggius a steep asphalted path goes up a little hidden hill and ends directly at the parking lot of the farmhouse "Il Muto di Gallura". From up here, the arriving guests have a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain scenery.
The farmhouse consists of four different characteristic Bungalow-rooms called 'Stazzo', each of them with its own private entrance. The central building with ancient granite stones represents the main house, where the reception, and the restaurant on the first floor. The rooms are arranged in the neighboring houses. They border by the small freshwater pool of the farm and consists of four rooms, each of which with its own bathroom.
From the car park a narrow footpath leads farther past the main house to a removed enclosure where the animals of the Agriturismo spend their day outside and where a riding school was built for riding lovers. Also two other rooms were furnished in 2005 in a small little stone house. Thanks to their relative seclusion from the main house the guests enjoy here an especially rural atmosphere.
In the main house is where you find the cozy restaurant with its brick fireplace and a small reception on the ground floor, while in the upper floor are four comfortable double rooms with bathroom and air conditioning. The rest of the rooms are also air-conditioned and tastefully decorated, but in addition they feature a front terrace. Mediterranean plants and low stonewalls are all round this property, while cats and dogs wander freely.
This is by the way one of the most famous Sardinian family feuds of the 19th century property of the shepherd's families Vasa and Mamia that also inspired the Italian writer Enrico Costa to write the novel of the same name "Il Muto di Gallura" (" The mute of the Gallura "), and was the legendary, mute bandit of the Gallura who gave its name to this agricultural land.

The area of Tempio Pausania and Aggius is an optimal starting point for motorbike, mountainbike or trekking lovers. Less active outdoor people can spend unforgettable days in this amazing area, called Gallura.
The surrounding cork oak forests incite you to take romantic walks, and have a pick nick in the shade of gigantic granitic formations, for an alternative try to have a city-stroll in the nearby small town of Tempio Pausania.
In the small, sleeping village of Luras visitors can be astonished by thousand-year old olive trees.
The Monte Limbara with its high mountain world and rare giant trees completes the picture of Sardinian nature.
But you can always have a lazy day in the sun when the beach is only 30-40 minutes away.
