The hotel Sa Mola was originally a landlord mansion from the year 1831, and still owns and antique oil mill that inspires still today the holiday-makers and gives a picturesque feel to the hotel.
You arrive along a country dirt road to the hotel car park in the rear of the property where you are accommodated, in the midst of a Mediterranean garden, thirteen 2-room bungalows, ordered in an L shape. Every apartment is air-conditioned and disposes of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and in addition a separate entrance with terrace. Where you can sit cozily and enjoy the end of the day in complete silence and relax within the colorful bougainvilleas, oleanders and low Mediterranean shrubs.
The main hotel is close to the bungalows area and its where the reception, a pleasant breakfast room with adjacent restaurant hall and seven hotel rooms were accommodated. In the evenings guests can choose between different local restaurants that offer Sardinian specialties (like wild boar ragout, homemade bread, olive oil) or international food.
On the upper floor its where you find the hotel rooms, which distinguish themselves by form, size and equipment. This is also because originally a wealthy miller and his family inhabited these rooms. The personal character of these rooms has survived with the refurbishment of the old mill into a hotel.

The hotel residence Sa Mola lies on the edge of the 1.600 souls little village of Bonarcado in the province of Oristano, not far from the massif of "Montiferru". Still today in the neighboring town of Seneghe olive oil is produced traditionally and often you can buy some homemade Sardinian products. It's also worth visit the other neighboring cities of Santulussurgiu and Cuglieri. This region of Sardinia offers picturesque desolated villages, impressive high plateaus, river valleys, idyllic mountain regions, numerous beaches with white or quartz sand, as well as fascinating protected areas, where to this day rare birds, which have become extinct in other parts of Europe, make their nests. For instance you can find flamingos all year round in the lagoons all around Oristano and Riola Sardo and can observe them eating the tiny crabs that make their plumage pink. Phoenician and Roman finding sites, menhirs, pagan fountain temples and prehistoric nuraghi, as well as a distinct fishing tradition with unique boats made of reed, named "Fassonis". On the basis of archaeological finds historians stated that the first hunters and gatherers settled around the Monte Arci, at the southern tip of this province already six thousand years before Christ.
Not to forget is also the horse riding tradition widespread around Oristano. In regards to this a visit to the traditional Carnival of the city of Oristano is worthwhile itself. During which a fascinating horse riders' tournament is held in the historical old part of town. The traditional dressed jockeys compete in collecting metal stars, which hang on a line, with a sword while galloping.

Bonarcado is a small village near the Natural Park of Montiferru and 20 km from the sea

The altogether 9 rooms (7 in the main building, 2 in the apartment resort) have a bathroom with shower, WC, Bidet and washbasin, telephone, television, radio, mini bar and air conditioning system.

All 13 bungalow units dispose of a bathroom (with shower, WC, bidet and washbasin), air-conditioner, telephone, television, radio and covered terrace, as well as a living room with studio couch and kitchen unit, and a bedroom with a double bed.
